Ozark pushes drain intervals to 75,000 miles with delo
Memphis-based Ozark Motor Lines is an irregular-route truckload carrier serving customers across the continental U.S. Founded in 1961, the company today operates a fleet of over 700 tractors, but is still a family-owned company run by the sons of its founders. A rigorous maintenance program is critical to Ozark’s on-time delivery performance, which is ultimately the key to the company’s success and longevity.
Since 2003, Ozark has relied on Delo® heavy duty engine oils. In previous years, the maintenance crew performed oil changes every 25,000 miles. With Delo, however, they gradually increased drain intervals. Now, with the Delo 400 SAE 5W-30 full synthetic, they are going as long as 75,000 miles between changes – and considering going to 100,000 miles. Using Delo, Ozark is confident its trucks can go a million miles. Watch there story below and see how a Detroit Diesel 15 engine looks after 435,000 miles on Delo.
