North America Overview
 
Headquartered in San Ramon, California, Chevron Corp. has roots in the United States reaching back 125 years. The corporation has grown into one of the world's largest and most competitive global energy companies.
 
The merger of Chevron Corp. and Texaco Inc. in 2001 capped a century of tremendous growth and positioned the new corporation to meet the energy challenges of the 21st century. In 2005, the corporation changed its name to Chevron. Under a new corporate symbol, the company will continue to expand to support its global retail business through its powerful retail brands – Chevron, Texaco, and Caltex. 
 
Chevron Corp. through its family of companies, produces motor oils, lubricants, coolants and greases under the Chevron, Chevron Delo®, Texaco, Texaco Havoline®, and Texaco Ursa® brands throughout North America. Chevron companies also produce and market transportation and industrial fuels under the Chevron and Texaco brands in the United States.
Chevron Corporation in Canada
In Canada, Texaco has concentrated its efforts since 1989 on the sale and marketing of lubricant and coolant products. And, in 2002, as a result of the Chevron and Texaco merger, Chevron Global Lubricants became a national marketer of both Texaco- and Chevron-branded lubricants.
 
Chevron Corporation in Mexico
Chevron companies have marketed Texaco and Chevron products and services in Mexico and Latin America since the early part of the 20th century. With headquarters in Mexico City, Productos Chevron markets Texaco and Chevron lubricants, coolants and fuel additives through sales agents and distributors throughout Mexico.

NASCAR Sponsorship in the United States
Under its Texaco Havoline motor oil brand, Chevron companies are participating in the NASCAR Nextel Cup racing series in 2005, the 19th consecutive year the company has supported NASCAR events. The contract with "Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates" features Casey Mears driving the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline Dodge.
