From natural gas engines operating in remote locations, to turbines helping to move liquids through a refining operation, reliable Texaco brand products are available to ensure the best equipment performance. We also offer a range of lubrication reliability solutions to help you evaluate and manage operation-wide lubrication.

Natural Gas Engine Texaco Geotex® LA low ash oils are recommended for four-stroke and selected two-stroke stationary engines fueled by natural or synthetic gas and gas from digester and landfill sources. They are formulated to meet NSCR catalyst compatibility requirements and are especially suited for installations requiring low phosphorus oil to prevent exhaust catalyst poisoning. Texaco Geotex LA oils SAE 30 and 40 are formulated to meet the performance requirements of API CD/CF. SAE 15W-40 is particularly suited to gas engines requiring good low temperature startability. Texaco Geotex® Ashless oils, available in SAE 30 and 40 grades, are high quality, ashless gas engine oils. Recommended for all two-stroke and selected four-stroke stationary engines that require a completely ashless-type engine oil, Texaco Geotex® Ashless oils are the preferred products for two-and four-stroke engines that are sensitive to combustion chamber and port deposits.
 Steam & Gas Turbines Texaco Regal® R&O Oils are recommended for use in hydroelectric turbines, steam turbines, and combustion turbine generators (gas). The are inhibited turbine oils formulated from highly refined base stocks, combined with rust, oxidation and foam inhibitors. The can be used in main oil circulation systems, governor control systems, oil-lubricated generator bearings, turning gears, and exciter bearings and other applications not requiring antiwear or extreme pressure protection.
Hydraulic Systems Texaco Rando® HDZ oils are designed to give maximum protection to hydraulic pumps. The antiwear additives in Texaco Rando® HDZ plate out on the metal surfaces, minimizing metal-to-metal contact that can be most severe on vane-, piston-, and gear-type pumps. Texaco Rando® HDZ protects against rust and corrosion and has good stability in the presence of water, and copper and steel.
Other Texaco hydraulic fluids:
Texaco Rando® HD – recommended for vane-, piston-, or gear-type pumps, especially where pressures exceed 1000 psi (ISO 32, 46, 68).
- Texaco Rando® HD Ashless is suited for high-performance axial piston pumps where pressures may exceed 5000 psi.
Gears
Texaco Pinnacle® oils are synthetic circulating/non-EP bearing and gear lubricants that withstand relatively high temperature operations for extended periods. They are recommended for industrial bearings and gears, such as wornm gears, that require an R&O type synthetic gear oil. Texaco Pinnacle® EP oils meet the requirements of U.S. Steel 224 and AGMA 9005 and qualify as AGMA EP gear lubricants. Other Texaco gear oils:
- Texaco Vanguard® – designed as emulsifying cylinder oil, but can also be used as worm gear oil to reduce inventories. Meets AGMA compounded lubricant specifications.
- Texaco Meropa® – recommended for all industrial gearing and whenever an AGMA extreme pressure lubricant is needed.
CompressorsTexaco Pinnacle® – provide outstanding lubrication qualities for air compressors, especially portable, vane and screw compressors.
Coolants
Texaco Extended Life Coolant is an advanced cooling system technology engineered to provide unsurpassed, long-term protection for your heavy-duty diesel, natural gas, or gasoline engine cooling system. It provides complete system protection for up to 6 years/6000,000 miles or 12,000 hours of on- or off-road use. In stationary engine applications Texaco ELC is recommended for 32,000 hours.
Texaco Heavy Duty Coolant – recommended for all heavy duty and natural gas engines. Add traditional coolants or SCAs to Texaco Heavy Duty Coolant according to manufacturer requirements.
Grease Points Texaco Starplex® greases are premium quality, mineral oil based, multipurpose lithium complex, extreme pressure greases for a variety of industrial applications. They are recommended as multipurpose industrial greases where elevated operating temperature is a concern. Providing excellent rust and corrosion protection and resistance to water washout, they are particularly effective in providing wear protection under high loads and shock load service. Texaco Starplex® Premium offers high temperature stability up to 325°F and is ideally suited where water washout is an issue.
Other Texaco greases:
- Texaco Polystar® Synthetic 4602 – this high temperature, synthetic based ball and roller bearing grease has a wide application range and provides outstanding rust and corrosion protection in the presences of water or salt water.
- Texaco Multifak® EP – water resistent, extreme pressure, heavy duty chassis, wheel bearing and general purpose lubricating grease.
