The programs, available through your professional Chevron and Texaco marketers, are designed to give equipment maintenance managers the best possible information about the performance of a lubricant in all types of mobile and heavy industrial applications. They are powerful and cost-effective predictive maintenance tools that provide useful insight about the condition of your critical machinery. Oil analysis will also enhance your ability to identify problems before they become costly failures – failures resulting in unscheduled downtime and lost production.

The Oil Analysis Process
Submitting oil or other lubricants for analysis is a simple process.

Call one of the program lab locations to set up an account
Provide some basic information to establish your account (laboratory preference, pre-paid kits or end-of-the-month invoicing, address information, and order sampling and mailing kits)
Collect a representative lubricant sample in one of the proprietary LubeWatch® or TEXCHEK® oil containers
Complete sample information form and select the appropriate test package or special tests (large fleets may use a computer printout to profile all equipment)
Insert the sample container and form in the mailing container and affix postage
Ship to the laboratory you have selected (for best results, ship lubricant samples to lab as soon as you take them out of the equipment).

Standard Test Packages and Specialty Tests
LubeWatch® and TEXCHEK® analysis programs simplify the process of testing by creating standard test packages for frequent, typical applications. The six test packages for standar used oil analysis include:

Turbine Oils (T6)
