Diesel Engines
Chevron Delo® and Chevron engine oils are available for a range of diesel engine applications. Whether managing a mix of engines in a fleet of vehicles, or the lubricating a truck or bus you own and operate, Chevron motor oils maximize drain intervals, help reduce engine maintenance and protect against wear. Chevron Delo 400 LE SAE 15W-40 meets the requirements of new heavy-duty engines, protects older engines and helps reduce the levels of exhaust emissions in diesel engines. Delo 400 LE is backwards compatible and may be used in older, conventional engines. Formulated with ISOSYN®* technology, which rivals synthetics in critical engine tests, and an optimal blend of the latest technology in dispersant, detergent, oxidation inhibition, antiwear, corrosion inhibition, viscosity improver, and defoaming additives. Chevron Delo 400 LE SAE 15W-40 has been specifically designed to meet the demands of EGR engines while at the same time providing the highest level of performance in conventional engines and other engine technologies like Caterpillar ACERT™. Additional Chevron Delo Diesel Engine Motor Oil Products:
- Chevron Delo® 400 Multigrade (SAE 15W-40) offers excellent protection for the newest EGR engines requiring API CI-4 Plus. It also offers additional performance for existing engines by providing increased ability to resist oxidation, handle higher levels of soot, and improve acid neutralization. Meets the latest service and manufacturers' requirements, including API CI-4 Plus, and all major 4-stroke diesel manufacturers including Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, Navistar and Volvo. It also meets Global DHD-1 and JASO DH-1 requirements.
- Chevron Delo 400 Synthetic — Recommended for use in turbocharged diesel and four-cycle gasoline engines, torque converters, gear cases and hydraulic systems operating year-round in arctic climates. Provides excellent performance with high- or low-sulfer engines. Mack EO-L through EO-N Premium PLUS 03, API CI-4Plus.
- Chevron RPM® Heavy Duty — Meets the requirements of diverse equipment manufacturers and can be used in mixed fleets. Meets service and manufacturers requirements, including API CI-4 Plus.
- Chevron Delo® 100 Motor Oil — High-performance crankcase oils meet API CF-2 and CD-II (SAE 30, 40, 50), and CF and CD (all grades). Meeting Detroit Diesel recommendation for 72 and 92 Series,
- Chevron Delo 100 SAE 40 is ideal for two-cycle diesel engines.
 Cooling Systems
Chevron Delo® Extended Life Coolants (ELC) are single-phase, ethylene glycol type heavy-duty diesel engine coolants that contain a revolutionary inhibitor package based on patented caarboxylate (organic additive) technology. Tested over millions of miles, in every major U.S. heavy duty engine, Chevron Delo® Extended Life Coolants can protect for 600,000 miles/6 years/12,000 hours. and meets major industry specifications and performance requirements.
Transmissions & Gears
Automatic Transmissions — Chevron Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid Heavy Duty provides special protection and extended drain intervals for heavy-duty automatic truck and bus transmissions operating in extended service. Automatic & Manual Transmissions — Chevron Delo® Trans Fluid ESI is a non-synthetic lubricant approved by major driveline OEMs for 750,000 extended warranty programs. Gears — Chevron Delo® Gear Lubricant ESI combines with Chevron Delo® Trans Fluid ESI to provide unsurpassed drivetrain performance. Using patented anti-wear technology that reduces overall operating temperature, Chevron Delo® Gear Lubricant ESI improves drivetrain efficiency and fuel economy.
Wheel Bearings & Chassis
Wheel Bearing & Chassis — Chevron Delo® Greases EP are specially formulated for extreme pressure, applications, including steering drag links, king pins, transmission cross-shaft spring pins, shackle pins, brake cam shafts and fifth-wheel applications operating under high loads at high and low temperatures. Chevron RPM® Heavy Duty LC Greases EP are 3% molybdenum disulfide ("Moly") containing multipurpose, water resistant, extreme-pressure, heavy-duty chassis and wheel bearing greases. Trailer Axles – Chevron Delo® Synthetic Grease SF is specifically engineered for trailer wheel-ends operating in all conditions, even under the most extreme high and low temperatures. Multipurpose Extreme Pressure Greases — Chevron Ultra Duty Greases EP are versatile, multipurpose extreme-pressure greases with high adhesive properties. Centralized Lubrication Systems — Chevron Dura-Lith® Greases EP are recommended for plain and anti-friction bearings, particularly those subject to shock loading
