Chevron Products for Oil & Gas Industries

Chevron combines industry leading products, such as Chevron HDAX Low Ash Gas Engine Oil and Chevron GST 2300 turbine oils, with experienced specialists in both natural gas production and petroleum refining to give you the finest support in the industry. We work directly with engine manufacturers – including Caterpillar, Waukesha, Jenbacher, Deutz – to optimize Chevron lubricants for each application. We also offer specialized lubrication reliability solutions to help ensure the best performance for your equipment and operations.

Natural Gas Engines
The industry leader, Chevron HDAX® Low Ash Gas Engine Oil not only meets customer demand for high lubrication performance but exceeds expectations by delivering the greatest value for your lubrication investment.
  • High level of reliability for engines in remote locations
  • Outperforms the best premium competition with oustanding oxidation stability, better resistance to combustion-generated acids, and produces cleaner engines
  • Less wear, longer drain intervals, and lower maintenance costs
  • Ideal for Caterpillar 3516 TA and Waukesha VHP engines, and other gas engines
  • In severe field test applications lasting more than 12 months, Chevron HDAX LA outperformed the competition with cleaner piston ring grooves, lands and undercrowns
Chevron HPLX® Low Ash Gas Engine Oil – are high quality, low ash, dispersant/detergent type engines oils that are recommended for four-stroke and selected two stroke stationary engines fueled by natural or synthetic gas and gas from digester and landfill sources. When extended drain capability is not needed, Chevron HPLX Low Ash is the answer. Chevron HPLX combines the proven performance of our Chevron HDAX® heritage with the affordability required in many circumstances.

Steam & Gas Turbines
Chevron GST® 2300 Oils are designed to meet the critical lubrication needs of combined cycle turbines, large heavy-duty industrial gas turbines, and gas and steam turbines with and without loaded gearboxes. Chevron GST® 2300 oils have exceptional high temperature thermal stability, outstanding oxidation stability and low sludge and varnish formation. The oils meet or exceed OEM requirements, including those from General Electric, Siemens Westinghouse, Solar, Cincinnati Lamp, British Standar, DIN and ASTM.
Additional Chevron turbine oils:
  • Chevron GST® 2300 Oils are designed for gas, steam, and hydroelectic turbine bearing lubrication. They have outstanding thermal and oxidation stability, plus nonvolatile oxidation and corrosion inhibition.
  • Chevron AIO – multifunction lubricants recommended for use in electric motor bearings, air compressors, high speed gears, hydroelectric turbines, steam turbines and combustion turbine generators.

Hydraulic Systems
Chevron Rykon® Premium Oils are designed to give maximum protection to hydraulic pumps. Rykon® Premium Oils allow even and continuous power transmission over a wide temperature range, with increased accuracy and a minimum of shudder.
Chevron Rykon® Oils AW are most commonly used for hydraulics with vane- or gear-type pumps. Antiwear additives in the oils create a protective film on metal surfaces, which is especially critical where pressures exceed 1000 psi.
Other Chevron hydraulic fluids:

Gears

Chevron Ultra Gear Lubricants – these lubricants are ideally suited for gear sets exposed to extremely high temperatures and loads. Meet US Steel 224 and AGMA 9005.

Other Chevron gear oils:

Compressors
Chevron HDAX® NG Screw Compressor Oils – recommended for use in natural gas screw compressors of all major manufacturers running on dry natural gas, or natural gas containing water or sour gases.

Coolants
Chevron Delo® Extended Life Coolant System is recommended for virtually all diesel and natural gas engines and includes patented technology that keeps cooling systems running cooler, cleaner, and with less downtime.
Chevron HDAX® 50/50 Coolant is a single phase, ethylene glycol-based coolant/antifreeze specifically blended for use in stationary natural gas engines. It uses a low silicate technology plus a complete supplemental coolant additive package that provides maximum protection for all basic metal alloys found inmost heat transfer systems.
Chevron Heavy Duty Coolant – recommended for all heavy duty and natural gas engines. Add traditional coolants or supplemental coolant additives (SCAs) to Chevron Heavy Duty Coolant according to manufacturer requirements, although no initial SCA pre-charge is required.
Grease Points
Chevron Black Pearl® Greases EP provide outstanding film strength and adhesive properties in premium, multipurpose, extreme pressure, water-resistent greases. Chevron Black Pearl Greases EP stay in place, sticking to bearing surfaces and provide excellent lubrication under a wide range of operating conditions.
