Chevron Food Grade Lubricants and Greases
All Chevron Lubricating Oils FM and FM Greases conform to U.S. Food and Drug Administration requirements of lubricants with incidental food contact, 21 CFR 178.3570; and are registered with NSF and are acceptable as a lubricant where incidental food contact may occur (H1) in and around food processing areas. They are also certified Kosher and Pareve, and are accepted by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for use in Registered Plants.
Chevron Lubricating Oils FM — these premium industrial lubricants are engineered to deliver excellent antiwear and rust protection where incidental food contact may occur.
- Chevron Lubricating Oils FM ISO 32, 46, 68: recommended for high-pressure hydraulic systems, air compressors, airline lubricators and the lubrication of bearings and lightly loaded gears.
- Chevron Lubricating Oils FM ISO 100: recommended for circulating oil systems. Approved by Racine Fluid Power for vane-type high-pressure pumps, and by Angelus Sanitary Can Machine Company for Manzel Lubricators.
- Chevron Lubricating Oils FM ISO 32, 46, 68, 100: recommended for lubrication of ground water pumps where contamination of potable water supplies is possible.
- Chevron Lubricating Oils FM ISO 220, 460: recommended as gear oils and general-purpose lubricants.
- Chevron Lubricating Oil FM-E — Recommended for once-through applications such as chains, tables, steam peelers and conveyers where water or juices are present, this oil emulsifies water and delivers excellent rust protection and lubricity without affecting the taste or odor of food.
- Chevron FM Greases EP — Developed specifically for food processing and canning, these odorless, tasteless, and water resistant thickeners are highly effective rust inhibitors.
- Chevron Synthetic Compressor Oil FM — Specifically formulated for applications where compressed gas may contact products for human consumption.
- Chevron FM ALC EP / Chevron FM CSC EP greases — Developed specifically for food processing and canning, these odorless, tasteless, and water-resistant products are multipurpose lubricants suitable for all grease-lubricated machinery applications.
 Chevron Superla White Oils
Chevron Superla® White Oil — These highly refined, odorless, tasteless, crystal clear white mineral oils are used when a USP-grade (United States Pharmacopoeia) white mineral oil is required. Chevron Superla® White Oils can be used as a defoamer in food and as a release agent for bakery pans and dough dividers. The oils also form a protective coating on raw fruits, vegetables, and meat, and control dust in cereal grains.
Chevron Ammonia Refrigeration Oil
Chevron Ammonia Refrigeration Oil (ARO) is intended specifically for the lubrication of ammonia compressors in industrial refrigeration systems. Used in rotary screw, reciprocating, or rotary vane compressors, Chevron ARO ISO 68 provides excellent lubrication to all moving parts so equipment life and life-to-overhaul is maximized. The oil resists carryover to the refrigeration system's low temperature side and is shipped water-free to prevent icing in the refrigeration system – a critical requirement for trouble-free operation.
Chevron Seamer
Chevron Seamer Oil FM was designed in conjunction with the Angelus Sanitary Can Machine Company to provide excellent anti-wear protection. Oxidation stability, low roam properties and rust protection in can seaming applications.
Chevron HTF P 200 Heat Transfer Fluid
Designed for use in the immersion or spray freezing equipment of packaged poultry or wrapped meat under the Federal Meat and Poultry Products Inspection Program, Chevron HTF P 200 is a silicate-free, industrial coolant and heat transfer agent. It meets requirements for food-grade applications, provides excellent heat transfer properties and excellent corrosion protection for brass, copper, solders, steel and cast iron. Chevron HTF P 200 is a concentrate requiring dilution before use.
