ISO & Quality Certifications

Chevron Corporation is committed to meeting customer and shareholder needs and expectations by providing Caltex brand lubricant products that are consistent in quality, through its family of companies and accurately represented for their intended use and performance. To support our quality and integrity policies we have established and maintain continuous improvement and quality management systems.
These systems are based on the relevant international standards; ISO 9000 series for design, manufacture and marketing, and ISO 17025 for testing of Lubricants.

Caltex LogoCaltex brand lubricant products are designed using input from procurement, manufacture, marketing, sales and distribution functions in a formal process, complying to ISO 9001. They are supplied from facilities with quality management systems certified complying with ISO 9002.

The continued conformance to these standards is verified by Caltex lubricants audit and review, and by the maintenance of certification from accredited independent certification bodies.

It is this commitment to quality that underpins the confidence we have in the performance and value of our products.

ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems Certification
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) publishes standards that are used by companies worldwide as a framework to guide their organizations toward improved performance. The ISO 9001:2000 series comprise standards ranging from customer focus and leadership to process approach and continual improvement.

What Does ISO 9001:2000 Certification Mean to You?
The ISO 9001:2000 standards address quality management of product development – those processes that Chevron employs to develop and produce products or services.

These process standards are used to help ensure that Caltex brand products:
  • meet your quality requirements
  • fulfill applicable regulatory requirements
  • enhance your customer satisfaction, both in the value you receive from the product and the quality of service before and after the sale
  • achieve continual performance improvement in the pursuit of these objectives.

Chevron Asia Pacific ISO Certification
Chevron submits its quality process to an ISO-accredited third-party organization. If Chevron meets ISO standards, the accredited certifier issues a certificate of compliance. To maintain that certificate we undergo an external audit every six months and the certificate is then revalidated every three years.
