Behind every promise, there's a trained professional.

Monique Vermeire

"My favorite part of the job is problem-solving — helping a customer find the right solution to an operational problem."

Part of the Chevron team for over ten years, Ms. Vermeire particularly enjoys the global aspect of her work. In her technical consultancy role, she advises on solutions to fuel-related problems; as a Chevron representative to various industry committees, she has the opportunity to share knowledge with other industry experts; and as a part of the Chevron Team, she works with her colleagues to forge solutions for customers. "Although team members are working from different offices in so many countries, we all work together, and we have a real friendship."

"Working with customers, I get a different perspective. I try to see problems from the customer's point of view, and then see how we can help."

Ms. Hawkins joined the Chevron team in 2002, following a university internship. With a background in laboratory work, Ms. Hawkins enjoys providing customers the technical support they need. "It's not just you helping them, but you learn quite a bit from the customer as well." The process is collaborative, both with clients and with other members of the Chevron Lubricants team. "Chevron really values their people, and puts a lot to into their growth and development. That's why I really like working at Chevron."

Harry Hazen
Project Manager, San Ramon, California

Harry Hazen

"Relationships are very important. We build credibility and trust by listening to our clients' needs."

Mr. Hazen was recruited from a competitor to work for Chevron over a dozen years ago. Since then, he has enjoyed working both directly with customers and as part of the management team. "I enjoy problem solving because it allows us to differentiate ourselves from our competitors. For example, we were working with a large contractor who was having trouble interpreting oil analysis reports. We worked with them to determine drain intervals. We lowered their costs, added value, and gave them a better buying experience."
